Nearly There...

We are almost there with venues for our land based qualifiers, three of them are almost done and dusted and we're just waiting for the contracts to be passed on... so these details are 98% sorted. We have slightly different structures due to different maximum player numbers and start times and the casinos liked to have structures that their players were familiar with.

The first qualifier will be held at Aspers Casino, Newcastle on Aug 29th. I will post the full details later but the structure will be a £100 rebuy (90 Min's + one add on) with 3000 starting chips and a 30 min clock, max 100 runners.

Our second qualifier will be held at the Sportsman Casino, Marble Arch London on Sept 5th. The clock and format will be the same with the starting stack 2000, max 80 runners. The blind levels are not too steep and I will post them nearer the time, but we start 25-50 at both these venues.

William Hill are guaranteeing a seat at the Grand Prix to be filmed between Oct 16th and Oct 24th in Cardiff at all these events, the prize structure at both these events has the winner getting 34.5% of the total prize pool, from this figure 6k will go toward the seat and the winner will collect any cash that is left. If 34.5% of the prize pool does not cover the seat then the winner will still win the seat. Again, I will post the full payout details later.

A free player buffet will be served at all venues and the winners' travel costs and accomodation will be paid for by William Hill - this will not come from the buy-ins at our qualifiers and there will be no registration fee for the players to pay.

I was in Ireland this week to finalise the qualifier in Dublin and will let you know the confirmed date when we have it finalised and our Midlands qualifier is not quite agreed yet.

If anyone is thinking of playing in the online qualifier, you might need to register for the event soon as the first qualifier has over 30 runners in already and the maximum is 149. The buy in is £120 (plus fee) and the first one takes place next Sunday Aug 12th. There are plenty of small stakes Sat's running into this and I have already spotted a good few blonde's in the field, so good luck everyone and I will keep you posted.
