This June, the Grand Casino in Finland looks set to host this year's Scandinavian Open Championship... otherwise know as the Midnight Sun Tournament.
Whilst the week will be dominated by a sea of Scandieboys (our term for those tough Scandinavian players), there will be a few familar faces amonst the crowd. Intrepid reporter Jen 'Mrs Merton' Mason will be taking a rest from the live update scene to dibble dabble amongst the cards, her eyes firmly set on that six figure prize. Joining blondeite Djinn will be fellow young gun and all-round poker genius, JP 'Wonderkid' Kelly. Fresh off recent victories, most notably his multi-k scoop at Luton, the rising (well, risen really) star will be confident that his name will be firmly enscribed on the trophy come the end of the week. Finally (as far as I know), our very own 'chairman of the board' Anthony 'tikay' Kendall will be making his way over to the brrrrrrrr inducing city, intent on showing the kids, and those pesky Scandieboys, how the game is truly played.
However, whilst these three blondeites are set to head over to the Finnish capital, it's not too late for any of you to join them. Openings are still available and there is sure to be plenty of hotel vacancies.
